Blue is the color of tranquility and concentration in European cultures. It also color of inspiration.
The history of the color brings us to XIth century : to the mantle of Virgin Mary and Gothic windows.
The Bleu entered the politics on the Capetian coat of arms  (fleur-de-lis on azure background) and became the emblem of the Kings of France during the reigns of Louis VI and Louis VII.

Since that time Blue became a Fashion Color – Royal Fashion Color. The first kings in England, Saint Louis and Henry III  began to follow France and cloth themselves in blue. Soon Blue became an emblematic color of the Royal Dignity.

Over the centuries, the Blue became the color of France, especially at the time of revolution. New leaders of France made Blue the National Color. On June 10, 1790, the Constituent Assembly declared the national tricolor cockade. The French Revolution made Blue the color of republicans and soldiers.

There’s more to history of Blue that meets the eye. One finds the Blue in the French order of Cincinnatus : order that unites the French officers who fought for the independence and the freedom of the young United States of America.  The Blue color of European flag and part of the flag of France. The Blue is the color of peace, the color of the great international institutions: UN, UNESCO, Council of Europe.

Le Bleu est la couleur de la tranquillité et de la concentration dans les cultures européennes. C’est aussi une couleur d’inspiration. Le Bleu est riche d’histoires et de symboliques. On trouve le Bleu dans l’ordre français de Cincinnatus : un ordre qui unit les officiers français qui se sont battus pour l’indépendance et la liberté des jeunes États-Unis d’Amérique.
