Times New Roman

In 1931, the London Times, The Times, commissioned Monotype, under the direction of Stanley Morison, to design a new type of font. This search for legibility led to the creation of one of the most readable characters fonts in the world. It is based on the drawing of the Roman Renaissance which would have increased the contrasts and slightly reduced the proportions. Discreet and efficient.

Optima

Created in 1958 by Hermann Zapf for the German Stempel foundry, the Optima combines the characteristics of characters fonts and stick characters fonts in a Renaissance-inspired design. The ends of the letters recall the pen of the calligrapher and the shape of the letters rests the eyes. Very readable and elegant.
