This season, Giorgio Armani Privé returned to Paris with a collection titled Jade, and with it came a new chapter for the house. Silvana Armani, Giorgio Armani’s niece and long-time collaborator, presented her debut as creative director following the passing of her uncle last September. After four decades at his side, including two decades shaping Armani Privé as his right hand, she now steps forward with a vision both reverent and distinctly her own.

The show opened with a quiet statement: fluid suits, soft tailoring, sheer organza shirts, and wide-leg trousers in layered fabrics. It was elegance without effort. The silhouettes were vertical, the palette subdued—celadon greens, soft blush pinks, pale neutrals. Embellishment was restrained, focused entirely on embroidery. Accessories were nearly invisible, and hats, once a staple of Giorgio Armani’s couture, were intentionally left out.

The spirit of the collection leaned toward everyday couture—polished and elevated, but never theatrical. Daywear took precedence over gowns, and even the most glamorous pieces, like a sequined jumper over palazzo pants or a crystal-encrusted column dress under a satin opera coat, were treated with deliberate understatement. The goal was not to astonish, but to refine.

The most poignant moment came at the end: a bridal gown Giorgio Armani had designed before his passing, held back from his final show and unveiled now. A long-sleeved white dress with sequin embroidery, it felt like both a tribute and a blessing.

Silvana Armani’s approach is clear. She isn’t trying to reinvent the house. She’s building on it, thoughtfully and decisively. The collection was edited down to 60 looks instead of 100, reflecting her instinct for clarity over spectacle. The result was a collection that felt calm, assured, and deeply personal.

This was not a loud debut. It was a woman’s hand, steady and precise, shaping the future of a house she knows intimately.
