Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2021 (Resort 2021) Milan Digital Fashion Week by RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
A tribute to Italy
“Through my woman, I always try to convey the contemporary. Today more than ever, I believe we must start dreaming again. There may be fewer occasions to wear an evening gown but the desire to feel special and to stand out, even in everyday life, must remain. This is why I focused on daywear, with the intent of thinking about the future and reinterpreting it through my design codes: elegance and femininity, with a touch of romance.”
Alberta Ferretti presents the Resort 2021 collection on Tuesday, July 14th on the occasion of the first Milan Digital Fashion Week. An emotional video takes us on a journey through some of Italy’s most beautiful cities, virtually showcasing the collection in this touching tribute to Italy Alberta Ferretti femininity is revealed through sophisticated daywear, characterized by clean silhouettes and special details. Vibrant jackets and tuxedos, chemisier dresses worn alone or as pinafore dresses over mini crop tops and wide legged high-waisted trousers, tunics made of macramé and fabric sheath dresses decorated with raffia fringe give a tridimensional feel.
The prints are the protagonists of the collection. Romantic flowers, stripes, checks and tie-dye, featured singularly or mixed together, are always harmonious. Colored denim appears as an alternative to the classic blue, offered in round volumes and ‘sunburst’ seaming and revisited with two new techniques. An eco sustainable process of washing and dying to create a vintage effect or an innovative laser light technique, with which floral prints are created directly onto the finished item.
Eveningwear is romantic and timeless. Draped chiffon dresses with lace inserts are alternated with sensual satin dresses featured in beige and pink.
