Elie Saab has once again redefined haute couture, this time with an unexpected and groundbreaking element—denim. For the first time in his illustrious career, the Lebanese designer introduced long, flowing denim gowns, elevating the humble fabric to the realm of eveningwear with an elegance only he could achieve. It was a bold, innovative move that showcased Saab’s ability to evolve while maintaining his signature opulence and craftsmanship.

Following the grand celebration of his label’s 45th anniversary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, last November—an event graced by performances from longtime friends of the House such as Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, and Halle Berry—Saab returned to Paris with a Spring-Summer 2025 couture collection that exuded a renewed sense of lightness and refinement. The collection reflected a fresh joie de vivre, a sentiment Saab attributed to a sense of peace and resilience after turbulent times in his native Beirut.

True to Saab’s signature aesthetic, the collection was a symphony of romance and grandeur. Lavish floral appliqués adorned sinuous sequined gowns with matching sweeping shawls, while embroidered blooms graced rounded boleros and voluminous capes. Feathery petals cascaded across crystal-embellished gowns in soft hues of pale pink and absinthe, enhancing the ethereal quality of the collection. Delicate gossamer layers shimmered under the runway lights, creating an almost celestial effect.
