HOMI Fashion & Jewels, 15-18 September 2023.

As the fashion world eagerly anticipates the HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition in Milan, scheduled for September 16-18, 2023, it’s clear that this event isn’t just another trade show; it’s a visionary platform that promises to shape the industry’s future. This year’s exhibition, in collaboration with Poli.design, unveils exciting avenues for the world of fashion and jewelry.
Design Directions: A Glimpse into the Future
One of the most intriguing aspects of this year’s HOMI Fashion & Jewels Exhibition is the “Design Directions” section. This immersive multimedia experience sets the stage for fashion jewelry and accessory trends in the next two years. It’s a compass for companies and designers, guiding them through the future of fashion.
Poli.Design’s recent studies have detected two macro-trends that will influence the industry. “It’s Just for Fun” is a whimsical, cheerful narrative that embraces playfulness and color in our everyday lives. Imagine jewelry and accessories that exude lightheartedness and a childlike joy. On the other hand, “Make Ordinary Extraordinary” focuses on transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. It’s about blending traditional forms with innovative design languages and vibrant colors.

Visionaires: Where Innovation Meets Essential Trends
“Visionaires” is a space dedicated to designers who’ve brilliantly interpreted the seasonal essentials and trending colors of the two macro trends identified by Polidesign: “Beyond Bodies” and “Supercraft.” This section will feature contributions from 120 Italian and foreign designers, showcasing innovative materials, shapes, styles, and colors.
Expect a diverse array of styles, from refined design to handcrafted creativity that celebrates the art of “savoir-faire.” Collections will range from objets d’art to gem-centric jewelry, utilizing materials like silver, metal, crystals, bone, wood, rope, and coral. Vintage aesthetics will receive contemporary makeovers, while crochet work will extend beyond clothing to bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.
Artistry Meets Innovation: Notable Designers and Brands

Maria Diana’s fusion of porcelain with cutting-edge technologies like lost-wax casting and 3D printing is sure to dazzle. Paula Castro, the Portuguese designer behind “Little Nothing,” draws inspiration from nature and employs natural elements in her creations. Valentina Sibilano’s “Nani & Co” jewelry explores highly innovative materials and techniques.
DAG GIOIELLI from Milan crafts unique textile jewelry using silver, semiprecious stones, and textiles. DORA HARALAMBAKI from Greece encourages women to embrace jewelry as an art form for expressing contemporary culture and individual style.
LAVISH from San Paolo, Brazil, and ZIIO JEWELS from Italy offer luxurious craftsmanship, a rich blend of colors, and a wide variety of stones. Ornella Bijoux, also from Milan, derives inspiration from nature, art, and classical jewelry styles, offering a range of meticulously handcrafted pieces.
