Loewe x Spirited Away by JW Anderson

Loewe x Spirited Away by JW Anderson. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.

Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Spanish luxury fashion brand Loewe and his own brand JW Anderson, which became known by his ultra creative designs in menswear and leather goods, brought holiday cheer and favorite characters from “Spirited Away” animated movie by Studio Ghibli so loved for the last 20 years. Chihiro, Haku, No-face, Yubaba, Kamaji – all of them are reappeared in new capsule collection of Loewe this holiday season.

This young designer doesn’t stop surprise us. After hat-bags, collaboration with Uniqlo and Converse designer this season created the magic of his own. His unique design aesthetic offers a modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity by creating thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear elements.

The Loewe x Spirited Away capsule collection photographed by Juergen Teller. And “the drop” is planned for tomorrow January 7th 2022. Fabulous leather crafts, prints, tapestries, embroideries mixed in the series of the bags by Jonathan Anderson.
