Moncler Puffer Coat 2018 “Puffer Nun” Capsule Collection presented in Milan created in genius collaboration with Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentino house, inspired by Renaissance showed absolutely unique pieces of skiwear. As we all know the inspiration for this capsule collection, as many other splendid collections created this year by great fashion houses world was an idea of Dame Anna Wintour. She organized in May 2018 the show that would ultimately become “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Spiritual Imagination,” the biggest exhibit the Costume Institute of greatest fashion houses of the Metropolitan Museum in New York has ever held.
Pierpaolo Piccioli uses Moncler’s renowned lightweight down-filled-nylon to create an otherworldly collection combining haute couture and skiwear. The Italian designer used pure shapes boasting bold colours to execute a vision he said was inspired by early-renaissance paintings, echoing religious icons like the Madonna. Padded zip-up hooded capes cinched in at the bodice are layered over skirts that paired with matching gloves offer full-body coverage.
Textile designer and photographer Suzanne Jongmans has captured the collection in a series of photos referencing the designer’s inspirations. Then Runway Magazine took her work even further and created series of artworks.
The genius project first debuted during an immersive event in Milan in February 2018. Moncler in 2018 invited eight designers – including, among others, Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara, Simone Rocha, and menswear Aficionado Craig Green – to create a capsule collection inspired by the codes of Moncler. Moncler has since been launching each collection incrementally over the six-month season.
Pierpaolo Piccioli described the collection as “an uttermost expression of my taste and a very personal effort.” After great world tour in fashion museums this collection for the first time went to the Moncler store in Milan and online store in October 2018.
Great success to these unique pieces brought extravagant actor Ezra Miller, who recently wore it for the premiere of new movie “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald”. Extravagant Ezra Miller caused a stir on social media when he walked down the red carpet in Moncler puffer coat during the World Premiere.
Despite being called “human sex toy” or “safe sex addict” by different twitter users, who are not familiar with renaissance or have no cultural references at all, except primitive cultural references to sex, Ezra Miller also wore this amazing coat during the Premiere of the film in Paris, France in November 8. He often attacked by users on social media networks for his extravagant choice in fashion, humor, free mind and freedom from stereotypes of these, who are limited by cultural choice and knowledge of how to buy cheap on internet and well know meaning of the word “bikini”, who are invaded and found their place in virtual world of facebook or twitter, and who’s opinions so largely distributed by different online medias. Like any intellectual Ezra Miller found great appreciation and large audience by great and profound roles in Fantastic Beasts and Justice League. And this new Moncler look totally conquered mind and heart of Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
