New York Fashion Week trends Fall Winter 2023-2024, Story by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE. Photo Courtesy: Rodarte, Collina Strada, Libertine.
Following Paris and Milan designers of Rodarte showed a collection dedicated to Wednesday Adams, a character from Netflix series, which came out last year as a next chapter of Adams Family story. This is not exactly an original idea as a collection for Wednesday Adams was already created by Donatella Versace and showed last season in Milan. She was one of the invited designers to participate in the series. So for this Fall Winter 2023-2024 Rodarte, a season late, decided also to dedicate the entire collection to Wednesday Adams.
Anyhow these collections probably were the best from what we saw this New York Fashion Week. Let’s have a quick looksee.
Brands Collina Strada and Libertine showed the looks following European trends. Collina Strada showed animal’s heads, following the Schiaparelli scandal, taking on basic trends: animal heads and underwear. That’s what New York will look like next winter. Quite savage, I would say.
Libertine showed cheapish golden pseudo-Versailles looks.
