As we chronicled these extraordinary moments in Web3, we couldn’t help but feel that this was a turning point in the fashion industry. Web3 had opened up new possibilities for storytelling, allowing you to experience the drama, the artistry, and the magic of fashion in ways never imagined.
Archiving the Architecture: Web3 & Beyond
Since our first steps into the Web3 space in 2018, we have treated digital environments exactly as we treat high fashion: as a canvas for constant reinvention.
When we launched the Paris Spring Summer 2024 Web3 environment in 2023, it was designed as an interactive study in virtual presence, high concept, and architectural space.
In fashion, a collection moves from the runway to the archive not as an ending, but as a foundation.
We have captured the entirety of the 2023 spatial environment on film. It now lives here as a permanent, curated visual archive of our digital history.
While you explore the footage of what we built, we are already onto the next season. We are currently developing our new digital environments with sharper technology, greater independence, and a completely elevated aesthetic. The archive is open; the new tech is loading.
In this Web3 experience we used integrations of Unity, WebGL, Maya – Autodesk, Blender, Ready Player Me, Spatial technologies. The concept, design, development are intellectual property of RUNWAY MAGAZINE / RUNWAY STUDIO WEB3.
