Tommy Hilfiger – Tommy Factory – Tommy Now – Fall 2022-2023. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
While New York Fashion Spring Summer 2023 season is emerging, some of the American designers came to Paris to present home collection like Philipp Plein, or Italian luxury brands came to New York to celebrate anniversaries and show special resort collections, and none of them have anything to do with ongoing New York Fashion Week. Tommy Hilfiger shows outside of the schedule and this fashion week, and shows Fall Winter 2022-2023 collection. Coincidence? I think not.

This is another Tommy Now runway. This time he called it Tommy Factory in dedication to Andy Warhol and Studio 54. Tommy Hilfiger decided to bring to runway his creative ideas and new collaboration with Richard Quinn. These pieces are already available online. The concept of Tommy Now is Buy Now. These pieces are already online for a week now. They are heavily prices and don’t have much of success, like all previous collections of Richard Quinn, which you can find today dusting in the dark corners for less than 100$ in all outlet stores of New York, Paris and London.
With disregard to this reputation Tommy Hilfiger went for this collaboration, and only removed this little hint of BDSM Richard Quinn is known for, leaving Cat Woman in the show. Tommy Hilfiger combine resort collection created with Richard Quinn and his own College collection. So tonight’s runway looked a little different, getting all attention of public.
Talking about Richard Quinn. This designer is know for taking many things for granted, and also the designer who created print or look 5 years ago, or even before that and going on without changes. An example, he became know to the international public after he was invited to continue line of Pierpaolo Piccioli puffer coats he started in Moncler Genius (Moncler by Richard Quinn Fall 2020-2021). Every season he produced the same look. The collection Richard Quinn Fall 2021-2022 is another repeated version. So Tommy Hilfiger x Richard Quinn for Fall 2022-2023 season is another repeated pattern, another repeated design, which might have a success after all. Trying on this reversible puffer coat that two things you can be sure – it’s very big, and it’s very soft.

For Fall 2022-2023, visit the Factory with Tommy Hilfiger. Inspired by the creative epicenter of Andy Warhol’s work, our space pays homage to the past that shapes our future. Models from all generations and all cultures stroll through rooms conducive to creativity, on the theme of graffiti, tattooing, video art, photography, television and music.
