Valentino Haute Couture Spring Summer 2022 “Anatomy of Couture”. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
In Valentino’s 8 Place Vendôme today, Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli brings the world close in a reimagined Salon de Couture: stripped of distraction, and singularly focused on his latest collection. An expression of physicality, a look into infinite shapes with the collection of Valentino “Anatomy of Couture”.

Guided by the vital need to revisit the rituals and processes of Couture to create a canon reflecting the richness and diversity of the contemporary world and promoting a beauty without imperatives, the artistic director Pierpaolo Piccioli imagines Couture Valentino not on a single model and ideal of the house, but on several women of different physique and age.
Soft and welcoming in its democratic impulse, and yet endowed with a radical approach shaking up the usual processes, Pierpaolo Piccioli conceives the collection as a choral construction that passes through a composite harmony of physical types and the clothes that dress them, studied through a a long process that is both scientific and poetic. The message does not change for the purpose, which is to express the beauty.
