August Getty Tinitus Digital Fall Winter 2021-2022. Review by RUNWAY MAGAZINE.

Another discovery this fashion week worth seeing. August Getty, Los Angeles based designer always created spectacular gowns for stage or red carpet. His garments wore by Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Katy Perry, you name it. He created digital pieces and digital presentation – everything digital for the next Fall Winter 2021-2022 season. It’s a pure art project presented during this Paris Fashion Week.

Designer August Getty transcends the boundaries of fashion and technology with a virtual couture prelude produced in collaboration with the Institute of Digital Fashion.

Conceptualized as a series of four (4) videos designed by August Getty and produced by the Institute of Digital Fashion , TINITUS is a universe whose ethereal landscapes and otherworldly citizens serve as a lush and mysterious backdrop for the presentation of four (4) Couture models, each designed from a well of references that include Arthurian legend, Roman mythology and spiritual iconography.

Combining digital and traditional craftsmanship in innovative and daring ways , TINITUS represents a milestone in the continuing symbioses of fashion and technology. “I wanted to create a world free from judgment and prejudice where you are free to be yourself,” says Getty. “A place that you can access and that allows you to repaint your past in vivid colors.”

The virtual world and the wardrobe took over six (6) months of work, using advanced CGI software and unconventional design methods to intricately render handcrafted items with precision and elegance. Each sequin, couture and gemstone is individually positioned on the virtual silhouette, with meticulous attention to detail corresponding to a work of haute couture.

This first TINITUS experience will be hosted on the temporary AUGUST GETTY Atelier site , to finally transition to an immersive web experience, in anticipation of the show in July 2021 during Parisian Haute Couture week.
