The Carolina Herrera Resort 2024 show took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was inspired by the city’s vibrant joy and sensuality. The highlight of the celebration was the 100% Brazilian cast, who walked the runway to the music of national icon Gal Costa.
The show aimed to embrace the beauty of nature and the tropical Brazilian climate. As guests arrived for sunset cocktails, they were greeted by a breathtaking rainbow that spanned across the stage. However, an unexpected rainstorm arrived and persisted for an extended period of time, creating a unique and unexpected atmosphere.
Despite the rain, the show went on. Guests were escorted to an adjacent jungle greenhouse specially built for the occasion, where the party continued. Meanwhile, the models braved the rain barefoot, holding their shoes as they walked the runway. This created an emotional and romantic image reminiscent of the iconic song “The Girl from Ipanema.”
The collection featured sporty separates made from lightweight twill fabrics, providing a summery feel. A standout piece was a short suit, paired with a matching crop top, made from a herringbone-patterned corded twill that resembled seersucker. Another notable design was a flirty, strapless A-line mini dress adorned with a mosaic-pattern floral print.
As the models gracefully walked down the runway, their genuine smiles shining through, the rain served as a backdrop, creating a unique and memorable atmosphere for the Carolina Herrera Resort 2024 show.
