35 years old designer Daniel Lee left Bottega Veneta luxury brand owned by Kering Luxury Group. Short press-release has been sent this morning. Apparently there’s no regrets. Daniel Lee brought new intellectual concept to the brand, grew up the revenue on 9%, made “ultra-green” trend, created interactive art-magazine, removed Bottega Veneta from social media networks, drew attention of young generation, made crocks and fisherman ugly boots classy streetwear item, copied by many.

Kering stock fell 2.5% today on the news that Daniel Lee is leaving Bottega Veneta.
Roughly Kering lost about $860 million.

The news came few hours before the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) awards 2021, nominated Daniel Lee in two categories: international women’s wear designer of the year and international men’s wear designer of the year. “A notable accomplishment given how many years it took Tiffany to own its signature blue, or Christian Louboutin to lay claim to red soles,” – published New York Times.

Bottega Veneta and Daniel Lee are announcing their joint decision to end their collaboration. Daniel Lee has been at the creative helm of the House since July 1, 2018.

He brought new energy to the House and greatly contributed to the new momentum that Bottega Veneta is enjoying today.
