Elie Saab Fall 2021-2022 Paris

Elie Saab Fall 2021-2022 Paris Fashion Week. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.

This Ready-to-Wear collection of Elie Saab is one of the special pearls in the creative history of the designer. Black and white garments of impeccable elegance. Classic white polka dots on pants suits and gowns. It’s not easy to beat Chanel in black and white jackets and suits. While others trying to repeat and interpret Coco Chanel, Elie Saab created his own eternal style, unmistakable, with echoes to the elegance of XIX.

This Fall 2021 collection is a probably a one story but with several chapters. There are chapters of elegance routed from ethnic patterns and ornaments, imagined by Elie Saab as if they were from Peru or Wild West, in black and white. There are several classic colorful gowns, very Elie Saab, pieces out of “cloud” of fabulous embroideries – this collection became another powerful creative signature of the designer.

Ellie Saab indicates his new vision of a woman as a “mystique”, “gothic” even, which could obviously please Chinese ladies, who are so attached to the imaginary world of XIX century in Europe, such romantic time, and getting most of it by recreating imaginary steampunk world. Elie Saab sees this collection as a looks for a women who exudes a power in an ongoing conversation between soft and bold, flow and structure, delicate and wild.
