Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2020-2021 Digital – Day 2

Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2020-2021 Digital – Day 2.

The second day started from the one of the most waited collections CHANEL Fall-Winter 2020-2021. Creative Director of CHANEL Virginie  Viard  reveals: “This collection is more inspired by Karl Lagerfeld than Gabrielle Chanel. Karl would go to ‘Le Palace’, he would accompany these very sophisticated and very dressed up women, who were very eccentric too.”

Stephane Rolland presented beautiful pieces for this season. And like always – one, extra creative, innovative piece. This time the ultimate “piece de resistance” of this collection is a harem-pants jumpsuit with “Bow-window” cape in white gazar and “smoked” polyurethane, created by Parisian master glass makers. Very cinematic, very romantic, and very 70s.

Ronald van der Kemp showed very artistic collection for Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2020-2021 Digital fashion week in Paris.  Very artistic and very dramatic story, or more likely a history portraits. We can see Harlequin and Holly Mother of God from Italian paintings, Japanese Ronin and Hard Rock Kiss singer Gene Simmons, flowers, native arts – very rich and testy dish cooked by Ronald van der Kemp. Let’s say it is another “Fashion and Art” night of Haute Couture fashion week in Paris for this season.

Strangely enough Aganovich for this digital fashion week presented a photo project from the collection Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2019-2020 he already showed in July 2019. Apparently there was suppose to be a video, but it never happened. So Aganovich decided to do a “kick back” project.

What was the point to do so? This is another “surprise” of this fashion week.

And of course this little story is worth mentioning, as “creative” director of Balmain Olivier Rousteing for more than a week now is desperately trying to create a buzz around his celebration of 75 years of Balmain fashion house, or like he called it “Balmain sur Seine”, or presentation “Balmain Couture Fall 2020”. 75 years is a serious and important date for the fashion house, although it shouldn’t take so much effort, massive distribution of press-releases 10 days before, serious massive investment into media articles with explanations about why it is such pompous and great event for millions of people, and why no one was interested to watch on Seine or online. Every known fashion magazine published 2-3 articles “covering” this event. And by “covering” we mean “hiding”, or “recreating”, or simply manipulating the public opinion about what actually happened and why. READ MORE ABOUT BALMAIN SUR SEINE HERE.

Today in desperation to bring attention to the presented collection and to the event Olivier Rousteing released the images. SEE ALL LOOKS OF THE Balmain Couture Fall 2020 HERE.

Curiouser and curiouser!” and “Off with their heads!” (“Alice in Wonderland”, Lewis Carroll) would be the right reactions to this Day 2 of Digital Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris Fall-Winter 2020-2021.
