JW Anderson Fall Winter 2022-2023. Review by RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
Jonathan Anderson cancelled his physical show in Milan and decided to present his new collection for Men Fall 2022-2023 and Women Pre-Fall 2022 digitally from London.
Jonathan Anderson, is young Irish designer, creative director of Loewe, founder of his own brand JW Anderson, known for his trends: huge chain on the shoes and boots, and cap bags (Tom Of Finland Nano). Everybody have seen 2 these items already as them “came down to the streets”, as we say, these items have inspired several luxury brands, copied and reproduced.
Today Jonathan Anderson presented new series of accessories, and funky unisex pieces, glaring, sparkling, saturated, and fun – perfect for both.
Jonathan Anderson’s latest collection for his eponymous brand hits a ludicrous note. The proudly masculine and the wickedly feminine are united in a kaleidoscopic blur of bright hues and metallic flashes. Accessories bring silliness and naivety to a farcical level. A pigeon in the band. An elephant, too. A circular bag. Kindergarten shoes and draped pumps. Dressing bluntly, clashing bits and pieces with fragments of youth like confetti scattered around at a house party.
Parties that never were, parties that will be – presenting the JW Anderson Men’s Fall Winter 2022-2023 and Women’s Pre-Fall 2022 show. The collections celebrate dressing as a feisty act that eschews barriers of gender and taste where cherished moments of happiness clash and collide in a silly fantasy of unabashed fun.
