Moschino by Jeremy Scott Pre-Fall 2022 – Tribute to futuristic 60s and to Pierre Cardin. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
Just a simple observation. Designers in New York faced much harder circumstances for the past 2 years, than designers in Paris. And than the Pre-Fall collections we see from Parisian designers all black, dramatic, faceless, giving feeling of destruction. New York designers started to show Holiday collections, full of colors and joy, bringing back light and happiness.
Jeremy Scott for this holiday season created a dedication to 60s and to Pierre Cardin, pulled colors from his Circus collection and mix it up. The new collection is very futuristic and very disco. I see the reaction from Parisian stylists who popped up by the office – they love it, love the colors. It reminds of “oldies but goodies” in the colors of unicorn. Who wouldn’t love it.
Still wearable pieces, futuristic coats, pretty “boots made for walking”, “candy crash” or marshmallow colors dipped into sugar – everything you can know about happiness since your childhood. Who wouldn’t want to wear it? I definitely do!
