Finally Richard Quinn decided to renew his looks and silhouettes. After 5 years of exploiting his designs he decided to go for something new. Leaving behind Cat Woman and a fetishist approach, he went for Victorian black gowns. There’s no more sado-flowered designs. Uph… such relief.
This collection is a very beautiful tribute to late Queen Elizabeth II. Victorian looks are not something new for British designers. It became the main leitmotiv for many. Embroidered royal gowns were presented today in London.
London Fashion Week this season was interrupted by passing of Ma’am, who’s been part of live of several generation of Brits and not only. Some fashion designers cancelled the shows, some changed the dates.
Apart from Victorian gowns, Richard Quinn showed neckless minidresses heavily embroidered with mini-flowers, giving this fresh and very cute deformed allure to a woman. It’s definitely not for the plumpy ones, and don’t add elegance and grace to a woman, but there’s a creative research.
The Spring Summer 2023 collection is rich by embroideries, plums and pearls.
