Best looks Cannes Film Festival 2021

Best looks Cannes Film Festival 2021. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.

This was a very special year for Cannes Film Festival. To start with the festival due to health crises circumstances moved from May to June. Then there were many restrictions that so called “models” couldn’t get trough on red carpet as if there were stars. Not even one. So suddenly everyone noticed that in fact there were not too many stars after all. And this year Cannes Film Festival it was some sort of “Bring your kid to work day” initiative – every star brought on red carpet their son or daughter. I’m not sure it was a good idea to compare the kids to their talented and charismatic parents, as many of them staying very far.

And as a cherry on top, the red carpet gowns so loved by many to add to their style book were very far even from to excite an imagination. Celebrities style run down to heel and disappointed many this time.

It is safe to say that red carpet this year belonged to Sharon Stone. She was ravishing, like a young glorious princess and sparkles of water in Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown. Then Tilda Swinton surprised us by Chanel nightgown and Schiaparelli dress/shirt.

Spike Lee President of 74th Cannes Film Festival 2021 was adorably pink, hiding identity of the man who dressed him to fire up a little interest to Virgil Abloh.

But the best is yet to come. There were also fabulous gowns shown at Annual amfAR Gala Cannes

The most spectacular one was obviously worn by Regina King.
