Marc Jacobs Fall Winter 2022-2023. Review by Eleonora de Gray, Editor-in-Chief of RUNWAY MAGAZINE.
Marc Jacobs decided to present his new collection 10 pieces unannounced at the end of New York Fashion Week “HAPPINESS, CONTINUED” or “RUNWAY NOT RUNWAY”.
The collection was photographed by Amy Troost, and styled by Alastair McKimm, Editor-in-chief of i-D magazine, starred Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid. Such happy ending, or probably happy beginning.
This is the second Fall Winter season Marc Jacobs presents puffer-coat-dresses, sort of thing, or beautiful goose-down long garments. The concept was introduced by Pierpaolo Piccioli, artistic director of Valentino, in his collaboration with Moncler in 2019. The concept had huge success and became widely popular. Marc Jacobs received plenty of “hearts” from Pierpaolo Piccioli for creative development of his concept.
FYI, strangely enough Vogue indicated this collection as Spring Summer 2022 season. Who would have thought? Well, who’d wear warm goose down puffer coat-dresses in summer? Probably only Vogue editors. And by the way, all designers in Milan, Paris, New York and London present Fall Winter 2022-2023 season. But it’s for Vogue to know and for us to find out (i-D magazine indicated this collection as Fall Winter 2022-2023).
